As despicable as the actions of police were at the time, it appears that they were not the actual cause of George Floyd's death, but the lethal amount of Fentanyl he had in his bloodstream.

The report notes that Floyd had not suffered any life-threatening injuries, which means that the police officer kneeling on his neck did not contribute to his death.
