New Zealand, Tuesday 20th June
The five minute presentation at the Dunedin City Council infrastructure meeting this morning presented by Michael Lee was suspended, and city councillors walked out.
Michael Lee spoke about his dismay at the continued shutdown and interruption to the city centre.
Over the past few years, the implementation of cycle ways, roundabouts, judderbars, and the one way sections in the city have impacted individuals' ability to access city businesses.
The continued road works and overuse of cones have created confusion and disruption within the city.
Michael then proceeded to talk about 15-minute cities and likened them ghettos and concentration camps. To this ststement, some councillors became upset and proceeded to walk out of the meeting. It was then suspended.
Michael was encouraged to continue speaking for his allocated 5 minutes by supporters. However, was unable to finish his presentation.
Once again, free speech was not supported, and instead, a Dunedin rate payer was silenced for his opinion to city wide plans.
It is well known that changes to travel around city centre's are linked to the UN Agenda 2030 and climate change activism.
